Kenosha County Library System, which includes Community Library and Kenosha Public Library, will no longer subscribe to Hoopla beginning January 1, 2025 due to rising costs and budget constraints. While we know this service was a favorite for some of our patrons, we’ve had to make this difficult decision to ensure we can responsibly serve the entire community.

Hoopla’s collection, while beloved, represents a smaller selection compared to other resources we provide. That’s why we’re focusing on expanding access to Wisconsin’s Digital Library through Libby and OverDrive, which offer thousands of eBooks, audiobooks, and digital magazines.

What’s available on Libby and OverDrive?

  • Instant Access Titles: Explore the Lucky Day collection, where no holds are required. Favorite Authors and Genres: Enjoy a broad range of content, from bestsellers to hidden gems.
  • Seamless Accessibility: Use Libby on your computer, phone, or tablet, or access OverDrive directly through our website.

Need help making the switch?

Our staff are here to make this transition as smooth as possible. We can:

  • Show you how to navigate Libby and OverDrive.
  • Help you find titles.
  • Answer any questions you might have about these platforms.

Visit our Salem or Twin Lakes branches or call us at 262-843-3348 during regular service hours for assistance.

We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support as we work to provide the best resources for our community.
