Parent & Teacher Resources Community Library offers various resources as part of our developmental collection designed to assist parents, teachers and caregivers in educating and nurturing their children and students. All of the resources listed below are available to be reserved by clicking the corresponding link and can be checked out using your library card. Big Books Big Books are significantly larger versions of standard-size books. Due to their size, Big Books are especially useful for storytimes or read-alouds with large audiences. Big Books are kept at the Community Library in Twin Lakes, but can be reserved and picked up at any public library location in Kenosha, Racine or Walworth counties.
Storytime Kits Storytime Kits are specially developed backpacks containing a variety of materials, including big books, puppets, flannel board activities and standard-size books that cover different topics. Activity cards with suggestions on using the backpacks are also included. Storytime Kits are kept at the Twin Lakes branch but can be reserved and picked up at any public library location in the SHARE catalog.
