Bookmark Design Contest

Calling all creative minds! We’re having a bookmark design contest during the month of September to celebrate National Library Card Sign-up Month

Design a bookmark that celebrates your library card, books and reading. The winning bookmarks will be printed and available for patrons to take home in October. One winner will be selected from each age category:

•   Kids (Ages 6-12)      •   Teens (Ages 13-18)     •   Adults (Ages 19+)

Bookmark design entry forms will be available at both branches. Submit your completed entry form to the Information Desk by Monday, September 30.  One entry per person.  

Have fun and we can’t wait to see what you create!

  Celebrate Constitution Day September 17 - Display 

Learn about civics and the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Pick up a free copy of the U.S Constitution, while supplies last.

Kids and grandparents are invited to come together for Bingo games, making a craft and enjoying cookies and cocoa.

A Swiftie Saturday Party
All ages

CALLING ALL SWIFTIES! Let’s celebrate Taylor Swift bringing her Eras Tour back to the US! Along with listening to The Eras Tour music, we’ll have a button making station, a photo wall, a friendship bracelet swap and play Swiftie BINGO. We’ll also have a "William Shakespeare or Taylor Swift?" poetry guessing game and a chance for you to win a Swiftie prize! Dress in your best Eras outfit, bring your friends and meet new ones!

Sensational Science Show! 
All ages

Sensational science show presented by Steve Belliveau for students and adults with surprising props and large scale demonstrations.  There’s a bit of chemistry and a whole lot of wonder!  

Steve Belliveau delightfully combines his university studies with his skills as a magician to present a show that  captivates students and teachers alike. He has been recognized by professional teaching organizations, the Chicago Tribune and WGN TV as a leader in this field.
