We will be closed Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day.

The Summer Reading Program promotes literacy and a love of lifelong learning in children and teens, as well as keeping up students’ reading skills over the summer. We also encourage adults to participate so that the whole family can experience all that the library has to offer. Plus, with it being summer, the program can just be good fun and provide an opportunity for family time. Join us this summer as we Unearth a Storywith reading, activities and special events.

Our goal as a community is to reach a collective 200,000 minutes read. In order to collect minutes, you need to log your reading time on our online reading tracker Beanstack or on paper logs if you prefer to log your reading that way. Paper logs will be available at the library.

Book Bingo on sage green background with white books

Looking to get out of your reading comfort zone this year? Our new Book Bingo Reading Challenge is a year-long, self-directed reading challenge for adults aged 19+ with opportunities to win prizes. Each square represents a different category chosen by library staff. Mark off a square as you read throughout the year. When you earn a bingo, bring your card into the library and receive a prize. Complete a blackout on your card by the end of the year and you’ll be entered to win the grand prize!
